    Question Modding the Mouse Pointer

The current RTW mouse pointer is rather unwieldy. I would like to just use my regular pointer. Does anyone know how I can get rid of the RTW mouse pointer so that during the game I can use my regular mouse pointer?

You'll need to edit all the data\ui\<culture>\interface\sharedpage_01.tga files.

The path "C:\Program Files\The Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War\data\ui\<culture>\interface\" does not exist. This is because the folder "ui" doesn't seem to be there. I'm using Sega v1.5. Is vista hiding folders from me again?

The UI files are packed away in .pak files, inside the data/packs folder. You first need to unpack them, using Vircingetorix's .pak extractor, in order to edit them.

    Thanks Aradan.

    2 Things
There are two ui .pak files. The files names are "ui_0.pak" and "ui_1.pak". Which one are the pointers located in?

And can someone give me quick link to Vercingetorix's .pak extractor?

    Thank you Darkvicer98.

However this question is still unanswered:
There are two ui .pak files. The files names are "ui_0.pak" and "ui_1.pak". Which one are the pointers located in?
    EDIT*********
Where are the files .pak extracted to? I extracted fine...but then I couldn't find them.

Edit: Sorry didn't read your edit in time :)

Files should extract to the Rome - Total war\data\packs directory

After you extract them and edit them, you have to rename the .pak files and then put the contents of the packs/data folder inside the general data folder, in order for your files to be read.
