yes you're right. better this way? i didn't want to edit the picture by removing things or somewhat like that in the first place. just playin with brightness, contrast and colours.

but the yellow flag there really messed up the picture

Definitely so. Now your picture looks just like a movie - which I think is the highest compliment that can I can make about a screenshot! (the glaring brightness and the dark shades are actually somewhat reminiscent of the all-CG 300 - which I did not like, but it still was a professionally-made movie).

You have too high contrast. If it should look like sunshine, you should add some more highlight or a very small lens flare as the sun. The first thing i think about when i see the picture is that it is just photoshopped. I think the goal of photoshopping is not to make it look movie like, but to make it more realistic. Make it look more like reality.
