    Does anybody know where I can download the old water animation? I remember it use to be somewhere around here.

    which takes less processing power? I wanna speed up the campaign map, ten fold... ive got a decent computer running RTW but even still the campaign map lags.

    The old water and the new water are exactly the same size. One is not faster than the other. If you want to speed up strat map speed, the best option would be turning off shadows from the strat map options menu. If that's not good enough, you could try Ctrl-T to turn off town names, which does a little. Or you could even go back to the vanilla roman/greek/barbarian cities/ports.
