Caribbean, islands are easy to defend, and have pirates.
Indian Subcontinent, I want to compete with the major trade companies.
North America, New France, 13 Colonies, get out of my way.
Split my forces. Small footholds all over, I don't like to focus.
Forget Colonization I'm attacking my nextdoor nieghboors first thing.

It depends on what faction I'm playing. I'm planning to start as Sweden and will kick some Russian and Dano-Norwegian ass. I'll probably go for North America after that just cuz. I might go for a huge navy and try to gain control of the Mediterranean.
