    Default .Org less active?

    Hey All,

It seems like .Org haven't been as active as it was few months ago. It seem it was really active 5-6 months back, and over time, started to decrease in activiy a bit. Anyone notice this?

    Aye.

It seems fine to me. The Backroom in particular has had far more activity - even without the Election.

Wait until Empire comes out and we'll get a swell of new members, a bunch of whom will make their way into the Tavern and the like.

    Hmm.

I've noticed the Citadel has been rather quiet of late, but there has also been a corresponding surge in activity in the Empire forum, which I guess is to be expected given it's released in February.

Tavern seems same as ever at least since I've been here.

Backroom is swarming with curs, bastards and spavined nags itching to lop each other ideologies off!

I have not seen such hot debate in a long while.

Yeah when ETW comes out we will be swarmed by n00bz.

Having said that, most will probably only make one post. Has anyone ever searched the member list by post count? Half the members have made 0-1 posts, whats the point even registering?

It swings. It has been less active as a whole, but yes, ETW will solve that.

I wondered about that, as far as i know apart from the ability to post registering has no advantages (you have to post a little bit to get into backroom but non member wouldn't know that and they never made the effort to get into br anyway) i have registered for a forum i never posted on but that was because i couldn't read topics in a forum without registering...

Backroom seems as busy as it has been over the last year, probably busier but that because of the election... my only other hunting ground te frontroom seems about the same level of activity...

Quite a lot of members were put off in the past by the Junior Member rank. It used to be the case that Junior Members could only post in the Entrance Hall and nowhere else. This was changed a few years back and Junior Members now have wider access to the main TW game category forums. This is probably where a lot of those one time posters originate from. Many though are simply those that came here to ask a question and then departed and forgot about the place. Not everyone is that much into forums of course.

To truly appreciate the .Org, you need to spend some time here. I remember when I came couple of years ago to check out some things about RTW. If it hadn't been for some interesting discussion in the Monastery, I probably wouldn't have come back. But I did, and found out about the Monastery, Backroom, Frontroom, Interactive Histories and all those stuff that truly make the Org great. Nowadays, I almost completely ignore TW related parts of the forum.

Some parts of the forum are less active, true. The Monastery gets just a couple of posts per day. It didn't use to be that way, IIRC, and that saddens me. That's my favourite place, although I read far more than I post there. Backroom, on the other hand, is busier than ever.

Very good point. Maybe the number of people posting is directly related to the number of interesting discussions???

I have not even been here for a year, so I can't really comment on if this is a slow period or not. Also (insert lame "less active? I thought the org had been gaining a couple of pounds rather quickly." pun).

If you're bored you could always join Last of the Romans. Plenty of activity in there...
