computer error while playing EB

Just recently, I've run into an error whenever I play EB - I'll be playing the game, everything working well, and then all of a sudden, my computer will just turn off. No freezing, no screwed up frame-rate, no sign of any glitches, it just turns off. When I turn it back on, it gives me this random error message about a library or something, I click okay, and it's fine again. Then, I restart EB, I'm playing the game, and it does it again. The computer only does this when I'm playing EB, nothing else. Does anybody have any idea what might be going on?

It's really frustrating, not only because of EB's long load times but also because when the computer switches off, I lose all the stuff I've done since my last save. -M

Have you been updating your display driver lately? A bad display driver or a damaged DirectX installation is typically the cause for this kind of thing. If you look at your system event log there should be an entry about the crash, saying which dll has a problem.
