    i think that most of the total war manuals have been ok (granted that ive only played medieval 1 and rome), if not exceptional. However, the greatest game manual ive ever seen is that for Hearts of Iron (another strategy game). Sure, there's a ton of typos but
    a) it has a personal tone
    b) it weighs about a kilo
    c) everything in it is relevant!
