Hi,
the mod looks amazing on the battlefield and the campaign map and plays very well within the XL concept. The graphical touches are often stunning.
I have the following personal remarks;
-the mod looks somewhat awkward in the unit info cards that look - with all due respect - a bit of frankestein style abominations, that is hands, heads and weapons from all over combined and recombined. This is an aesthetic spoiler for me, although i am fully aware that it is an achievement as far as graphic work is concerned.
-Campaign wise the mod is good but of course, like XL somewhat too easy, there is little strategic thought/investement involved - all true moneymakers like the lower level farms and trading posts can be built in a flash. Playing as the Scotts i steamrolled over the isles and the northern french coast and by the time i was done i was in the region of hundreds of thousands in the bank. The only interesting battles occur in the fisrt 10 turns and later on when you fight the other emergent superpowers - yet the latter ones do not decide the outcome of the war - the player is so rich that even if he loses he wins.
-I also never really liked the more units the better concept - the meaningful range of the total war engine simply does not support all those units and they are there as flavor and attention magnet and not because they occupy a post that defines well unique faction rosters.
All these are typical characteristics of XL, which is a good piece of work, just not close to my personal taste.
