I gotta agree with Hax on this one. Be careful what you wish for! Only the most hard-core Roman historian could bear a life in Rome. Antiquity, or the Roman Empire/Republic is fun... for a couple of weeks, or maybe a month. Then you begin realizing how bad you're craving for a computer (EB!), good book, a cold refreshing soda, soft & comfortable bed, no lice, non-spoiled meat, friendly people, sweets, a bath/shower, fresh clothing, television and just easy, comfortable life of a 21st-century American in general (supposing that you are an American, Pontius Pilate). Life in Rome was not all that glorious, rather the opposite and neither was it all about the Roman Military and Lorica Segmentata (), which you wouldn't really get to see as much of anyway.

Seriously, Americans have the easiest lives in the world, with Swedes probably being the runners-up (or even sharing the first place). I've been to almost every country in Europe, talked to people from Sweden, lived and still live in America (about 4 years now) so you can trust me on this.
