Movie discussion threads are off topic anyways and should be locked when they start.

They should, that is true, but are they? I have never seen a movie discussion thread locked since I joined the Guild.

What about these recent threads, none of which were locked:

So I know you think some of them, if not all should be locked, but are they actually against the EB forum guidelines? Well, actually, let me rephrase that. They are probably against EB forum regulations, but does anyone actually enforce that particular set of regulations? Is it possible to create one (movie discussion thread)?
