Cannot load campaign

I have not played Rome Total War for a while, but was in the mood so i installed the game afresh, installed the updates, then downloaded this mod, installed it, and everything went fine until i tried to load a campaign.

Everytime i do get sent back to windows with this message:

"Debugger detected - please close it down and restart!

Windows NT users: Please note that having the WinIce/SoftIce service installed means that you are running a debugger!"

(I am running Windows XP so the last part doesn't really apply but i figured i'd put it in here anyways.)

I'm not sure what debugger i am running, or how to shut it down. I try to have as little extra programs running as i can as i don't like the clutter, or the slowing down of my computer. I tried using ctrl-alt-delete to end as many different processes that i didn't need running, including my anti-virus (AVG). But i got the same message.

I am able to load and play historical battles, just not the campaign.

Computer power shouldn't be a problem, i am able to run MTW2 on full graphics without trouble.

Anyone have any ideas?

edit again, apparently i should have spent longer searching the forum for answers. i have a nvidia 8800 video card, so turning off the videos allowed the game to work fine.
