Of course I am talking about the book-club. My nominations;
1) - Jung Chang, Wild Swans: Three Daughters of China
An excellent book that spans no less then 3 generations in communist China, while reading it you can't help feeling as if you know the place, and when you are done you consider the characters to be family.
2) - Romeo Dallaire, Shake hands with the Devil, the faillure of humanity in Rwanda.
The memoires of an eye witness of the events in Rwanda, needless to say that this is a very tough read, but very much worth it. It was written 8 years after the war so as an eyewitness account it's of little use but it's interesting to see someone react when his believe in human decency is being completily destroyed, the author is just as interesting as the events.
