Default Roman campaign: CTD during eleutherioi turn passing from 225BC winter to 224BC

Hi all, thanks in advance for all the bug fixes, suggestions and etc, I got here for EB (not mentioning the game itself). :)
Read the instructions before this post (my first one), hope i didn't miss anytihing - I have all the patches and scripts installed.
Used ProcMon, but didn't saved it this once since I didn't find something useful, hope to be forgiven ;)

    Here's my gamesave on axifile:

    http://www.axifile.com/?9637453

I used toggle_fow from the romeshell, and found out that whenever Epeiros finishes its turn game goes CTD.

It also happened before (231BC), expecially with Epeiros and Lusotannan, but I managed to skip those just stopping some armies at the borders so that their units cannot walk the way they got each time i got the CTD. Turned game to easy level to keep testing faster.

I have a couple of cities on the verge of revolt (Mediolanum and Pergamon).

EDIT: sometimes game CTDs without the factions moving their units, just makes me wait for some seconds after i clicked the "next turn" button.

EDIT2: installed EB1.1 as a MOD over RTW 1.5 Gold Edition over Windows XP MCE. I got it working with a no-cd crack also (currently running it, i won't have the CDs for some days).

    Looking forward for answers :)

Those revolting cities, have you tried to make them content? You can reduce their population by console, for example (see the frequent issues for how).

Yes tried it - process_cq with a lot of happiness-making buildings (they are huge cities).
They are both rioting, but after a lot of treatment their face icons are green :)
    Didn't work.
revolt comes before other (already existing) eleutherioi move or after?
I will try alex.exe this evening, looking for some changes...
thanks for the quick reply :)

You should try to use toggle_fow to see more precisely where the crash occurs. It may be some other faction whose city is causing it, or a battle somewhere with a clone or similar.

The most likely problem is perhaps a reform marker spam; if you had not installed the fixes from the start of the game there might be an excess of buildings in some settlement. Once another gets built and the hardcoded limit of buildings in a given province is broken, the game crashes. Did you use the fixes from the start?

Already installed all fixes and used toggle_fow to show the exact point.
Epeirotes diplomat moves towards sauromatae territory and stops. It should be the last move of Epeiros since i don't see any other units around.
It should begin moving Eleutherioi units, but crashes.

This does not say whether the fixes were installed from the start of your campaign.

You should check the cities of Epeiros too, they might have a revolt that you need to fix too.

woops sorry. Yes they were installed from the start, the campaign was started fresh new after a previous one crashed on 231BC.

Didn't think of Epeiros cities, even though i think it's a Eleutherioi problem. Will try it.

How many buildings are allowed into a city?

Actually I don't know how many. I just know that the game crashes when there are too many .

It could be Terhazza, I suppose, there are tons of script marker buildings there. You can teleport down an army and lay siege to the city, that way they won't complete the building if that's the problem. Perhaps you can take it over and knock down all the regular buildings too.

    OK, RomeTW-ALX.exe doesn't work.
The move_character cheat doesn't work either.
anyway i got to skip to next turn, just making some create_unit in Terhazza.
In the current turn (224BC Spring) units I created in Terhazza are out as an army and i cannot reach them.
Now the CTD happens again in the next turn (224BC spring to summer) during Epeiros AI turn.

    It's definitely Epeiros.
Also in the next turn (224BC summer to fall) game CTDs when an Eopeirote army moves in their own territory.
i will have to defeat them :D

Don't worry bovi you have been more than kind keeping answering here :)
BTW some technical questions: all those models and textures and animations could be used also with some other engine? :)

I'm not the best resource there, I'm not an artist, so don't take this as any authoritative answer. What I do know is that converting them to M2TW's engine is said to be as timeconsuming as remaking them from scratch. However, I think they are exportable to a format that 3D Studio Max can read and modify. Milkshape has also been mentioned.
