Is there going to be any more update for EB?

I'm just wondering, is there going to be more people working on AtB after EB I will be finished with or will EB II take up all available resources?

I really dislike the M2TW engine, particularly the sluggishness of the units and certain battle mechanics. I have tried playing battles in MiNO a couple of times and they leave me so frustrated that I often struggle to not smash the M2TW CD and then burn the pieces. That's saying quite a bit, since there is only one person in the world who can annoy me to the point of rage.

The AtB and EB teams are entirely separate. EB members may help out on AtB in an advisory role, but thier main goal will be EBII. So the question assumes a level of cooperation between the two teams that just doesnt exist.

itd be nice 2 have an EB3 on ETW... you can basically fit every single unit and faction you can think of in there... i've played a early experimental beta version of it and i say... DO IT !!!!

Wouldn't it be kind of difficult to make an ancient warfare mod of a game that revolves almost completely on gunpowder warfare?

What about EB III for Empires: Total War? ^^

How many times can one remake EB? Are they going to make EB IV from the next CA game? EB I is already, in my opinion, as good as it will ever get. And that is great, because I have never played anyhting even remotely as good as EB. Usually the original is better than remakes, especially since many of the things in RTW could remain the same in EB I, whereas in EB II everything except a few game mechanics has to be changed for EB II. EB III, in case you have seen the Empire previews, will be almost impossible to make because they change it even more, in fact almost everything is different. It would almost be easier to make the game from scratch than to convert Empires.

Why does EB I have to be improved so much? True, M2TW and Empires have better graphics and a couple of new game mechanics, but the best computer games in the history of gaming did not have very good graphics by today's standards. Hopefully when EB II will be finished the EB team will go on to work on something that takes place at a different time or part of the world, such as AtB for instance. If EB II ever came out, that would be putting the record on how fast a game is remade. Almost no other computer game was remade three times in ten years,especially one after another, for example.

I hope that what you said was just a joke, and not what you actually believe should happen, although it is your opinion, and I respect that.

Seeing as how the EB team are specialists on ancient history... wouldn't the entire team need to change in order to make an EB with a different time period?

I am talking about a different starting time during the Antiquity. Or place. AtB is what I am really looking for. I have tried numerous other mods, but they just can't live up to EB. Plus, just about everyone of them feels incomplete and very much like work in progress. AtB is based on EB, so that kind of solves my problem. Also, it would be interesting if the EB team ever did a mod that took place in the Invasio Barbarorum or Paeninsula Italica - Radices Imperii time periods. True, many of the EB historians don't specialize in those time periods, but then again, everyone can research, especially since no one knows all of those specific and esoteric facts right off their head and also, EB could get new recruits.

What's harder to get for EB anyway? A history person or a computer person? It seemed to me like EB was and is always in need of computer guys like programmers, skinners, modelers, people who work on the script, etc. Haven't heard much about the demand for historians. Then again, it is hard to set the criteria for EB applicant historians. An ad for a computer guy is much easier in my opinion - as them if they know how to skin, let them show an example of their work, and they're in. Foot, this is a question you might know the answer to. Hopefully you'll notice my question .

still though, if EB could eventually be a mod for Empire TW that would be awesome. think about the ship to ship battles and boarding. Empire has so many neat features too. the entire Indian subcontinent could be included this time around. although the animations would be a pain in the neck to make, since all of the current animations are 18th century. by the way what is AtB?

Q: Why not wait for Empires :Total War?
A: RTW and M2TW are made on whatis basically the same engine and therefore the EB already has experience in modding it. Empires will be an entirely different engine and will require everyone to relearn everything. Besides that, Empires won't be released for a while and a stable patch that is modable could be a year after that.

Q: Will there be a EB3 for E:TW?
A: It is far too soon to say...
