Not many play EB multiplayer. Those who do tend to meet up on Xfire and use Hamachi, unless it has changed since I did a long time ago. There's a thread posted by Pharnakes back in the day with the IDs of many others who are/were interested.
At any rate, you should probably make sure that those you want to play against are using the same version of EB, since there's a new one very recently.
