Thread: is it possible to

    Default is it possible to

Change the ownership of a city prior to starting the game?

Let me explain a bit: I like playing as the Qart'hadastim, and I remember from RTR that Syracuse was a city of the Koinon Hellenon. I always allied with them and whenever Rome decided to invade Sicily and attack, I made sure one of my army's was standing right beside the army of the Greeks so that when the Romans attacked, they had to fight the Greeks and myself, like true allies. A coalition of the willing one might say

So, in order to see the same fun with EB (which by the way greatly surpasses RTR in all other aspects), I wanted to make Syracuse a Greek city in stead of a rebel one. Is this possible and if yes, how?

    Thanks

I dunno about actually modding it into the game file, but you could just attack Syracus with 1 unit and use auto_win attacker (or auto_win defender if they sally) and then give it to the KH via Force Diplomacy

It is doable though it requires quite some changes. Even a minor typo or misplacement of a line or space will lead to a CTD. As for them being allied with the Koinon, that's completely unhistorical. They might have been Hellenes as well, but Syrakousai was an independent polis that acted on her own. By the way, in RT'R', the Greek Cities have southern Hellas, Epeiros as well as Syrakousai. I mean, how far in terms of (un)'Realism' can it go?
