    Default A request

I've recently installed another mod on the same RTW that contains EB.
    Stupid, I know.

Because of this mod diplomats only talk to other diplomats and to cities, not to armies.
This is because that mod changes "descr_cursor_actions" in the RTW Vanilla data files.

Could someone please provide me with this file in the vanilla version, or do I have to reinstall RTW just for this 1 little file?

    Thank you!

There was a post on this recently. Was it RTR? You should never multi install complete modifications on one Vanilla version.

It shouldn't take that long to reinstall, but you need to pick one or the other mod. It would definately be for the best that you completely uninstall and reinstall rather than getting all the files seperately. So many things could go wrong.

It is just that one file. Nothing can go wrong with that.

    It was Troy TW.
RTR and EB should work perfectly together, though, as they are both mod-foldered.

Actually, I think EB changes some of the vanilla files as well. It's always better to make a copy for every mod.

I have three other mods in the same RTW folder and I am not having any problems at all. All four mods, vanilla RTW, and BI are all working just fine.

As long as the mods don't change any vanilla files that EB uses too, this is indeed no problem.

However, Troy TW changes descr_cursor_actions and EB uses this Vanilla file too.

Anyway, it seems that I'm going to have to reinstall to get my vanilla file back...

    Thank you very much, Lovejoy!

It's in Rome - Total War/Data (yes, the vanilla RTW data files)
    descr_cursor_actions

You can post what's inside it here or post it in a PM or ask my mail in a PM, do as you like.
    And thanks again.
