A large amount of completely unneccessary work. Spendios worded my opinion quite well.
No, the Alexander battle should be the prologue campaign... As the Normans in M2TW... How about let get Alexandros himself teach every new players the basic game guide... (He dies in the end of campaign though...)
Should be an interesting opening...

a) RTW already had an Alexander campaign
b) As a tutorial, an Alexander campaign would be too simple [1] and too poignant[2].
An appealing idea for some, perhaps, but our Gaza campaign will leave little to be desired.

[1] All you would really learn is the hammer & anvil.
[2] Tutorials should be as transparent, direct and broadly pertinent as possible, not rich with the personal mystique of one of the world's greatest generals.
No, I Havent been here long, I' m fresh new, but I know history. Alexander died in 323 B.C. Rome total war and most mods begin at 271 B.C. I meant a short tutorial-like campaign like the original M2TW tutorial campaign with army movement, battle and siege training with Alexander, so RTW players could experience how the world was shaped into what they see in 271 B.C. And I don't think it's such a lame idea anyway.
And yes, RTW already had an alexander campaign, I'm not saying to reproduce that campaign, I'm proposing a small tutorial campaign. And I have faith that the EB2 team, with the M2TW engine can give us an Alexander we would really love.
An Alexander tutorial would require new units specific to the tutorial. And then you really have to ask yoursef - what's the point?

That would be really cool to meet Alexander made by EB team.

One of horsemen replied: We are all here, sir! However, you can't see us because you were fallen from your horse, sir.
We can take the viewpoint of Alexander, having lectured on how to wage a great campaign, by Aristoteles, or his Father, Philip...
Anyway, this should be an easy version of the backbreaking RTW: Alexander... coz this is proloque

How about this, then. They've already made a tutorial campaign for EBII.

I don't get it, why would Foot be chanting his own name?
He probably has an alter dedicated to Foot in his room or something...
This should be repeated, as people don't want to hear this or something. There already is an awesome tutorial campaign for EB!!! Forget Alexander.Originally Posted by A wise man in a previous post

As for the idea of an Alexandros campaign, see the official EB team answer in the second post.
Not only would it be a ton of work and require huge amounts of scripting to keep the AI from wandering off, but it would require the complete creation of a whole new faction. A complete roster of Achaemenid Persian units would have to be completely created.
That was only a tutorial-purpose units... let me purpose a silly answer:
You can pretend the Khuveshavangan, Dahae Baexdantae, Chidainh (although they're celtic), and some Arab / Persian archer - spearmen to be a persian units... and even you can use Phalava as Persians.... (although it seems badly ahistorical... it does nice to see a Phalavan general named DariusCondoCodomannus
BTW soory for this posts...

If you find yourself typing a "silly" idea or thought or answer, just hit the "x" button in the upper right corner of the screen before hitting that post button. If you follow this rule constantly then you can be 100% protected from scrutiny from other posters.
Seconded .
Is there a good environment for asking silly questions?
I suspect that very few of these suggestions are intended to be silly. It's just that people don't understand the complexity of modding or history, or don't realize how much thought went into designing and making EB.

Clearly this thread has run its course.
