My 1.2 install problems

I need help. When i go to install 1.2 to my EB it does all of the motions of installing but it doesnt bring up 1.2 it only brings up 1.1. What do i do?

Try uninstalling all traces of EB, deleting the RTW folder you installed it into and reinstall 1.1 into a fresh and unmodded RTW folder. Then once you do it, leave EB 1.1 clean as it is and install 1.2 over it.

Ummm slight problem my EB 1.1 IS unmodded. but i guess ill have to try ur approach.

BTW 1.2 changes a bit some of the Sweboz names. Think about starting afresh with them if you can get it running ;).

You probably installed in the wrong directory. If you run a validation it will tell you if something is missing.

uhh yeah when i hit the validate it said like EVERYTHING was missing

EDIT Lord and master bovi what directory should i put the file under??

You can move the whole installation to the RTW folder, where the RomeTW.exe file lies. Or install again in that place if you prefer.

So your saying reinstall 1.1 while putting everthing in the same RTW folder should let me install 1.2 sucessfully?

No, just install 1.2 again. And make sure you install it in the same place as you installed 1.1 earlier, that is the RTW folder, where RomeTW.exe lies.

In Windows Explorer, you can cut and paste files to move them. Select them, then use the Edit menu to find the commands.

Did you install 1.2 to a copy of the RTW EB folder? In that case, you have to direct the shortcuts to the rtw.exe file in the new folder, since they will still be targeted at the old one, where only 1.1 is installed.
