Yeah true, ATPG always leaves tiny clues in his write-ups. Although its not easy spot though.

Any reason to jump on me ED, instead of Ares? Honestly, ATPG, if memory serves, only ever lynches one person, and one person only, in a case of having a tie of more 2 or more players. It is random, but we won't risk an "early mafia victory" by tieing it up and getting discussion going, which, if memory serves again, will be what wins this one - ATPG is not handing out clues in this one, he said so himself, any clue he gives will be very imbedded, esoteric, and rare, if not all three.

So instead of the day ending early and therefore stifling discussion -

As long as there is a tie for now, we can at least wait until people come up with more clues...
for now it would just be a random lynch which is a 2-14 chance of nailing a Mafia(never good odds) but is better then zero, I will admit but for now I see no reason to help lynch anyone..........

I don't think lynching no one is the common rule.


I've seen Pizza do double lynches and coin flips. Anyway, the host hasn't told us what will happen in the case of a tie to my recollection. It might end up with all the front runners getting lynched, which could be hazardous to our numbers. It could also end up in a run off. Maybe no one will get lynched, but I doubt it. And unless we know for sure, putting three people up front is potentially reckless.

Self preservation is a perfectly valid reason, especially early in the game. But El Diablo is normally a very astute player, Lynching in the first round was pretty common for him because of his name (The Devil...), but his behaviour so far doesn't fit in his normal pattern. So I'll:

Day One Results

The sun set on the tanker, halfway across the Atlantic ocean.

The 14 had gathered together for the first time. Everyone was a little uneasy, but they all had their weapons down. El Diablo seemed particularly nervous with every vote that was read aloud. He knew that his days were numbered.

Before the speaker was even done, he quickly stood up and lifted his weapon, and began firing bullets. However, the bullets missed everyone else, because as soon as he stood up and pulled the trigger, he was dead. His fingers released the trigger and his body hit the ground with a sickening thud, and blood flowed quietly all over the deck.

El Diablo's face was riddled with bullets, as was his chest. His lifeless eyes peered back at the gang, as if trying to convey some message.

The rest of the gang sat silently. They were used to seeing former comrades turn their back on them, and they were used to gunning them down. El Diablo's death was no different. He may have hijacked the tanker for them, but he was ready to kill them all. No one grieved for him, at least not openly. This was a dangerous game, and sometimes winning was more important than feeling remorse.

They went back to their quarters that night, without incident. Each of them locked themselves into their separate cabins, bolted and barred the doors, and slept with one eye open. They all clutched their weapons, preparing for any possible intrusion.


Begin Night One.

The night seemed to last forever. All that could be heard was the rocking of the ship against the motion of the ocean, and even this noise was quiet. In the middle of the ocean, it was very calm. You could hear a pin drop, or listen to the rats breathing. The engine room continued to hum, but by now everyone had gotten used to that sound and could no longer hear it.

Cold sweat accumulated on the backs of many, but in the morning, they were all alive, tired, and cranky.

I think the lack of murder is part of the game:

This is not your typical mafia game, and night phases will be uneventful for the most part. The traitor or traitors will have difficulty killing anyone. Simply make the correct guess and you are home free. As the game progresses however, it will become more dangerous.

It's possible, but ATPG would have to put a cap or some kind of restrictions on recruitment or otherwise the game could get unbalanced quickly.

Anyway, methinks we are once again delving into the realm of speculation.
