    Under all conditions, or when the unit he commands has expended all its ammo? The latter is a R:TW bug, not an EB one, and cannot be fixed. It happens to all officers of missile-carrying units.

    Ahhh, youre right. It only happens after depleting their ammo. When u give a missle unit a new order, the sergeant and captain (the general probably too) throws away his sword and attacks bare handed. It remembers me of the japanese "bonzai attack".
