Thread: Unmodded EB 1.2 EBBS Script

    Default Unmodded EB 1.2 EBBS Script

    Can anyone upload a copy of their unmodded EBBS Script for 1.2? Back in 1.1 I modded mine to eliminate the client ruler script to increase scroll and turn speed and now, even though I obliterated all remnants of 1.1 by uninstalling, deleting all files, reinstalling RTW, then reinstalling 1.1 and patching to 1.2, the EBBS for some reason still reflects the changes I made, which means no client rulers for me. I must have made a mistake somewhere, though I don't know where so I figure the best bet is to just get a fresh new 1.2 EBBS script file. Thanks in advance.

    EB 1.2 doesn't have client rulers in the script anymore.

    So possibly the EBBS you had after reinstalling was the right one...

    The script is indeed the same but why then can't I recruit generals from my level 4 gov't cities as I'm supposed to be able to do in 1.2? I thought it was a problem with the script but apparently it isn't. Has anyone else encountered this or know how to approach fixing it?

    I used the 1.2 reccomended fixes to try before posting and one of them effects the export_ descr_buildings files but the problem was there prior to that and after that. Besides that though I have no tampered with any 1.2 files. Oddly though, when I first started my campaign, my cities as Arche Seleukia which began with level IV govt's could recruit the generals, but now the level IV govts that I establish do not allow for their recruitment.

    Yes, I used the fixes but still the generals are not recruitable from my level IV govts in Petra and Bostra, which are the two cities that so far I've noticed the problem in.

    Update: The problem is isolated to my Saba cities as the level IV govts in other cities throughout my empire are allowing for recruitment of generals. I have done the fix though, as mentioned above but the problem persists. Is the fix save game compatible?

    I don't think that the Client Ruler fix addressed the lack of recruitable generals in the Saba culture cities at all. AFAIK it only added recruitment code for generals to the nomad allied government building. IIRC, in the Saba culture settlements there are no recruitable generals at all because there was not enough evidence for a "merc general" type unit from the area. In other words, what type of unit would be the bodyguard for an Arab general? I think there just wasn't enough evidence available to be sure.

    The fix is retroactive, at least from the nomad client general standpoint.

    For some settlements the historians haven't decided on which general unit would be closest to correct. In these there is no client ruler recruitment. You can however import a client ruler from another settlement where you can recruit them.
