    Default Good infantry/cavalry commander.

Some ethnicity traits describe the general as being more likely to be a good cavalry commander, like for instance the Makedones.

Is it an actual bonus or just for roleplay? Also if it is a bonus, how does it apply? Only if the general commands an army composed primarily of cavalry/infantry? Or is the bonus applied to any cavalry he commands, no matter the ratio?

I think such a commander is just more likely to get a good infantry/cavalary commander trait and thats all. I doesnt mean u get a hidden bonus.

No what I think he means is when the general already has the good cavalry commander trait does he have to have an army of mostly cav., inly cav. or just some; right?
    Anyway I have no idea............

Italians do it better! Chi dice donna dice guai. Abbi donna di te minore, se vuoi essere signore. Donne e buoi dei paesi tuoi. Fiume, grondaia e donna parlatora mandano l'uomo di casa fuora.
And my personal favorite: "Non rimuovere il confine antico fissato dai tuoi padri". In english: "Do not remove the anchent border placed by your fathers". It looses something in the translation......

I think that he only has to have one unit of cavalry which is great with all the cavalry-bodyguard factions

It only works when u have an army which is 100% made of the particular unit type. Otherwise there is no effect at all. Anyway u shouldnt even get a "good..."-trait as long as ur using mixed armies but u will get it easily when ur fielding an infantry or cav only army.

It should be noted that the bodyguard doesnt count for that, which means if youre fielding only infantry armies with lets say the Casse, like I did, you can still get the trait even though your bodyguard is a "cavalry" unit.

strangely it seems NOT to count whether the bodyguard is cav or inf(as KH i've got 2 FMs with "good cav commander")

but I'm not shure about fellow FMs in the same army

    E: damn, to slow ^^
