Installing and patching a "Gold Version"

I liked MTW a lot and because of my interest in Japan and Japanese I thought that Shogun must be perfect for me. Indeed, the game is somewhat more simple but great. Anyway, one of the best things in the game are the Japanese sequences. Still I need the subtitles .

I have a question. I just bought a downloadable version of Shogun Gold edition from GameStop. During my process of trying to install the game. It keeps telling me it must install eng.001. Does any one know how i can install it? I run windows vista on a laptop. It does try to download it but it stops halfway and hasnt moved in like 30 minutes. Nothing is wrong with my connection. can any one explain what is going on?

Sorry we didn't notice your post earlier. The Gold edition should be patched, but I've no experience with that version myself. What does your game do when you select another langua in your setting, like Japanese speech?
