They are probably still busy concepting units, factions and features. You can't calculate how far you are if you don't know what the endpoint is. Also, EB is a big, complex project, which means that things go wrong and thus delay release. Finally, it is a volunteer project, so it's hard to say how much hours will be put in next week, let alone next month.
