An idle thought, is there any benefit of not settling and choosing nomadism over pastoralism in any of the homeland provinces?

You get horse archers more quickly and for less money all together. And that is very useful when you have Seluecids swarming at your borders.

Zradha Pahlavan is correct. I'd keep nomadism in Nisa, go nomadic in Antiocheia-Margiane, and you are required to stay nomadic in Gava-Mazsakata. Marakanda and Alexandreia-Eschate are also good candidates to keep nomadism, as are any lands North-East of there, since they don't really contribute too much economically (besides mining income), so you might as well utilize them for the #1 resource they do offer, good nomadic units. But seriously, I would go ahead and skip nomadism in any area that won't get you Dahae and/or Saka units, since it really doesn't do anything for your economy. The reason nomadism is so attractive as an option in those areas is that the basic camps for recruitment are very inexpensive compared to the extensive infrastructure required for recruitment in pastoral or reformed provinces.
