Question Province governors, royalty and their acumen

    Hi all,

there is one question I could never find the answer to:
Do kings and princes actually have a use for their acumen?
If you have a province that has an assigned governor (title given to a unit) and you put your king or one of your princes in that province, does he 'override' the assigned provincial governor or will the PG be still in charge despite the presence of royalty?

I do know that the king's acumen affects the whole kingdom to an extent, but wether this applies to single provinces I could never find out.

    Thank you in advance.

I'm not 100% on the exact figures for this, but the faction leader's acumen certainly affects the economy as a whole. Heirs' acumen is irrelevant until succession.

The location of the governor is irrelevant to the province he governs. It does not affect income. The governor is always the governor wherever he may be.

The only way that location can affect governors (and indeed any general, heir or king) is in the accumulation of vices and virtues. Having a governor sitting around in a province can add to these for various reasons.

If I remember the info in the Numerology thread correctly, each feather for a Province Governor adds 10% to the florin output for his province only, while each feather for a faction leader adds 2% to the output of the whole realm. Acumen for Heirs is irrelevant until they ascend to the throne, or (for those that might become "Royal Uncles") they later acquire Governorships.
