Something very strange indeed just happened.

I've had EB installed on this computer since it came out. Now, when you start EB, you don't get the spinning Activision logo, and the opening video from RTW has also been removed. You know the video i mean, the one that starts with Libyan spearmen marching beside a siege tower.

Well, i just started EB up, and for the first time in 2 years the game started with the spinning Activision logo, followed by the old RTW intro video.

So i ask you, why has this happened today when it hasn't happened since i installed EB all them christmases ago?

Strange goings on i tell ya.

The old RTW videos were disabled for the older versions but when the faction intro videos were added the videos were reenabled. Since there is no main intro video for EB yet, you get the vanilla video when you start up.

is there a way to insert your own custom video in the place of the vanilla one just for fun's sake?

But i've been starting EB up on average, 3 times a day since 1.2 came out...

Why has it happened now?

I never saw any videos playing EB. No intro, no faction intros or whatever. I think somethings strange going on here

@Dayve: I bet you accidently started vanilla RTW?

Nope, because i then went on to load my Karthadast campaign and play a few turns.

I always had the intro movies aswell as the rome theme movie, which always makes me happy to have EB installed :D

Same here. I've never not had the Activision and the Vanilla Video, and I've been playing since 0.81

Some ways to start EB have the "-nm" command and some don't. Maybe you used a different shortcut and got the video...

Certainly. Just replace them with yours and it should run just finely

The video's were not there in the last versions before 1.0, and i thougth 1.0 too. If i remember it correct, the intro video's were back in 1.1

The intro videos (Activision logo and RTW intro) are part of RTW, not of EB and that has always been the case. MAA is right, it entirely depends the parameters passed to the RTW.exe.
