S.P. Carbo scouted eastern Epirus and reports that no reinforcements have been sent by the new king of Epirus yet.

Correct, I did download it and moved the legion, and even fought some barbarians near Capua with it; but I didn't upload it because my legion was not at full strength (missing eq. rom. and a unit of principes is short about 15-20 men)

Right. Here goes.

My cavalry patrol was returning from the attack on Pyrrhus when they came across a small but heavily armed patrol, blocking their route back to Epidamnos. Rather than risk going back and skirting around Ambrakia, I decided to lead an attack on them, and won. The patrol was eradicated.

I have designated another fort to be contructed north of the other one to protect it's back, and installed a mixed garrison there. I would appreciate it if either Avlvs Aemilivs or Caivs Aemilivs moved to command that fort. That leaved the Legio II spread across the province, and able to protect it from any direction.

However, I am still worried about possible reports of Epirite forces massing north of Makedonia. I renew my request that the Consul of the Legions grant me access to a local spy from Epidamnos to watch over this potential threat.

I would also like to use this oppurtunity to congratulate the Consul for his victories in Southern Gaul; a well deserved and favoured victory!

I ask that the Consul of Finance designate a Villa Magistratvs to be built in Epidamnos following the completion of the Foreign MIC. This will turn this Greek/Illyrian settlement into a proper Roman town.

For the Senate, I request permission to return to Roma soon to conduct my Triumphus and ask for a promotion to Praetor, and also plea my case for further action in Greece.

Also for the Consul of the Legions, my Equites need replenishing. Considering our treasury and the few survivors of the Equites, I believe it would be far more economical and quicker to simply raise some more Equites in Roma and send them straight to Epidamnos.

Quaestor Caivs Avrelivs Cotta and Tribune Qvintvs Aemilivs Regillis have returned to Epidamnos, much to the populace's delight.

I also press the Consul of the Legions again for a local or locals, or at least some people that speak Greek (hint hint cough coughTarascough cough), that can be used to spy on the Epirite forces that reports suggest are gathering north of Makedonia and at Byzantion.

I would like to inform Praetor Caius Aurelius that three units of accensi and a unit of leves currently in Legio II are actually part of Epidamnos' Garrison. please return them to the city immediately as you are no longer provincial governor.
A fort has been constructed for Legio IV (as requested by TCV), Publius Atilius has also been moved into Roma
units from legio I are being retrained in Arretium
the front guard from Legio I has captured and routed the survivors of the Carthaginian armies defeated recently.
The equites to resupply Legio II has arrived in Illyria.

Whoops...I completely forgot about them...I'm returning to Epidamnos anyway. Unless theres some sort of complaint that I can't be in that region anymore and I have to leave my army in the sea or something.
