I would have said most ancient civilisations would choose their next king/equivalent through strength rather than birth right. People weren't that patient.

Succession by birthright was the general rule and those uprisings and such are noteable because they are the exception.

Birthright in kingdoms was much more important then who was the best warrior/general. Especially in the East. In this case the middle east but also in asia.

whoa, sorry guys I couldn't logon to the guild yesterday because of some internet error or something; if I could then the campaign would already have started, I'll just download the save and check some stuff first; then proceed with the campaign (if possible) and the CotL report
and I can't take the save at regular times now that I have school and this year is going to be a killer

anyway, has anyone ever fought a siege battle with two general-led armies of the same faction? if so, could you control both armies? because I'm afraid if either Baen or I play the battle and the other legion cannot be controlled by the player, we're in deep shit because who knows what dumb things the AI would do like charge all the tribuni and horsemen into a load of gaeroas blocking the gate.

Just join the legions and you fight the battle. Can always seperate them slightly in the battle, group them, and control both.

And it does block it. But we've recently had wireless put in the sixth form centre and thats easy to work around.
