ah I see, and I just read through most of the posts that I missed while asleep, I'm going to move my battle report to the proper thread now.

I'm probably not going to take the save this turn, still waiting for the accensi to arrive and no point in moving the other units which just arrived because they're still "out of moves"

ya you don always have to move so its no prob but next turn you will be ready to take Taras. Which should be alot easier now that weve got a spy their to possibly open the door haha. With Taras we will be making more money so we will create a new legion then and go north to take out the rebels on our border.

Also- you want me to move ur avatar to Arpi and retrain him?

Well everyone has to IC accept you as his third in command. And once he does that he can sponsor no more tribuni. You can only have two subordinates.

I might have to rethink his objectives... but tell me - are you going to assign a provincial dictator of Taras after it is taken?

Ah yeah, that reminds me Navarro. I think we may need to think of subtitutes for battle points. Because I dont think theres going to be enough wars and legions if taking command of battles is the only way of gaining anything. I think there needs to be more than one path. Is it too late to think of somehting and add it to the rules and explanations and what not? Seeing as we're still in the testing stage now is a good time to do it. Do you see my point?

Hey guys i will try and take the save around 12:30 or 1:00 my time, but as i feed homeless people on xmas i may not get back home till 2 or so. So everyone has a couple of extra hours if you want to move to a city or sumthing like that. Next year will finally get this conquest for Taras underway and well really see how we can can handle ourselves. Good luck everyone I hope you earn us our first major battle victory.

I would have chosen a more historical approach, ie. take Rhegion, wait a few years for Carthage to attack, then wait a few more decades to attack the Po Celts.

I can see how that could get boring, but still...

Navarro, once everyones settled into the game, would it be stupid to start making decisions on things that cannot exactly be done in EB, but which would have to be done IRL? For instance, I dunno, hosting events, or supply route problems, or diplomatic trips abroad?It might add prestige and influence to the characters, and more depth to the story.

in the rules there is a part about events...checkem out i think thats what you mean. they are all made up and what not ya for fun and can go against the script indeed

also everyone, you will need to decide if you want 4 Hastati, or 2 Hastati and 2 Principes as it states in the rules Standard legions can only have 8 units and your rank can only command 8 units. (4 inf cohorts, 2 ranged, and 2 Calvary, this is not counting the Generals units.) I suggest 2 Principes, 2 Hastati, 2 Accensi, 2 Eqvites Romani, and you and Baens bodyguards.

@Potocello not sure what you were doing but the save remains open and when the full 24 hours or all moves are done i will take it either way. I will move you to where you wanted to be anyway so no worries. Get involved with the Roleplay i find it to be the funnest part.

just 2 principes and 2 hastati for the infantry, that is what's already under my command; and I don't think there are any more hastati that are able to be spared from other provinces since our treasury is rather low.

haha yah i dont know what i was planning on doing, i didnt move my avatar or anything. i've been a bit busy lately so im finding it hard to find time to roleplay.
