Many thanks to Hooahguy for this great sig.
I really have to stop going to bed. Everytime I wake up and go on here the worlds flipped upside down. Sorry for your loss Everyone, if thats even possible seeing as it was your own death.
I'll have to put aside my school work to do some stories I think.
Oh, and Il_Duce, I believe it was Legatus Cotta that pulled Asina's body away from the fighting, thank you very much![]()

actually, somehow the loss of Asina made me kept swearing and yelling at every random thing I saw for the past hour (fortunately I was at home), until I decided to play out the battle again to relieve my anger to see another result, this time with some objectives in mind:
1) immediately pull generals whose bodyguard are less than 5 men out of combat
2) combine both Legio I and II for the assault
3) do not let either army be controlled by the AI
4) start the battle as navarro did so from the campaign map (fight using Legio II, and Legio I as reinforcements)
and here is the result:
Conan died very early in the battle, as I was rushing through the broken gate. as usual, I made the cavalry go through a breach in the wall. since the infantry force was getting cut up very quickly on all sides (yes, on all three sides); I made the cavalry charge into a Gaeroas from its behind, causing it to rout; and since Conan was dead by then, the other units (many of them, around 3 ligurian infantry+brihentin+2 gaeroas+a few botroas+1 liguriae epos) routed in the massive charge; and the only other difficult part was the gaesatae which I managed to kill quickly by making the accensi move a large round around the settlement to the gaesatae's back, and pelt the gaesatae while they are engaged in melee.
if you want, here is the save (though I don't think I'm authorised to do so, I badly want to play as asina again) :

Wait.. it's unclear to me who fought the battle. If it was navarro then it's against the rules since he should have send the save to everyone. Or am I missing something??

well, Blasio was in the battle (but not appearing as the commander), but I'm not sure who navarro was playing as (denatus/blasio?); and technically Legio II was still led by Cotta and Legio I by Asina when the battle took place. so I'm not sure (and I really do hope Asina could survive but that probably wouldn't be possible asdf)
well, if the wrong player fought the battle, it must be refought. But the rules say, that if the Leader of the Army is not available, the second in command fights the battle, and if he's not available its the third in commands turn. Finally thats the reason, why there is a 2nd and 3rd in command. Only a player, whose avatar is not in one of the attacking armies CANNOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES fight the battle.

Many thanks to Hooahguy for this great sig.
It's just that according to rules the one who leads an army will fight the battle. You, everyone, and Baen were the leaders of the Legions. IF you two were unable to fight the battle THEN those others could fight the battle. At least that's what we have in WotB and I thought the same is in here as well.
Sry for causing all this trouble. What's done is done, we can't change that. I just wanted to know why it was fought by navarro.
I'm not sure whether navarro offered the save with the battle to any of the commanders or not.Originally Posted by SwissBarbar

Navarro did announce he would fight the battle a while before he did. Since I basically gave him command of my legion, he just moved Blasio to command it from Arrimium.

Hey yall, yes i did use Blasio and fight the battle as i control him. I would prefer to not use AI aswell, but for realism purposes I allowed it because Asina's legions was indeed part of that battle so i cannot command them. I have PMd everyone about a little something to decide where this will all finish up,( Been alot of conversation on this one) so he can talk to you guys here about that when he is on.
edit: If you ask me as Sh**Y as i feel about Asina dying, I do sorta think its just loaded with great RPlay and future fun. Just my opinion but of course more could of come out of him alive i suppose?

ya i went ahead and updated the commanders as now Legio I has one. Legio III will definently be created soon as were getting alot more money. By the end of the year well be making 10k a turn.
hey just finished a few touch's on the library to get ready for next CC. Added a "former commanders" tab to the active legions part. hope you all like, after a couple decades that should be nice to have
ALSO: when you guys make stories I ask that everyone adds a title of their own, some do but not all, it's easier for me when i update the history which ill be doing soon.
ANOTHER EDIT: we have 15 players and only 13 SOT posts. Take care of those guys.
