well thats why it would have to be a notable person, the Curia will elect one 3 years i say. Say a famed persons avatar who won a great battle or whatever. Im just saying that it is helpful to have a "leader" as someone will need to decide building and military recruitment.

If thats the only reason to have a leader, then maybe we can elect a person or people every so often to take care of the settlements. I beleive the romans had something like this but for the roads (Aediles?). The position will bring its own kind of respect, since its a job we have to have and the lazy people will appreciate it.
Or maybe one consul for buildings and one consul for armys?
I think it would be cool if we could have Consul elections where the candidates would give a speech and campaign and what not

you should post that you're taking the save/done with the save in the dictator and consul's reports, but I suppose potocello already done that for you. anyway I don't think much has to be done as CoL now since we're not like recruiting multiple legions or in a civil war.
Speaking of civil war, I can't wait for houses to be formed, then we could see a bit more action
also, I noticed it's about time the historical Punic wars happened (around an in-game year from here)

By the time the next congressional session comes around, we'll have done the north; then we can turn south. But I'd still feel better if we had some 'excuse' for doing so. If we can make the Carthies break the alliance, I'll vote for war.

we don't need to proceed historically accurate concerning expansion, or do we? we could have a greek or Iberian war first, if we wanted

Many thanks to Hooahguy for this great sig.
Without move_character those would be annoying wars

We shouldnt unless we're dictating the moves of the other factions, and we're not...so we should proceed how we want to

By civil wars, I think Navarro would most likely have the Provincial Dictator(s) that are rebelling have complete control over their armies outside their province(s), and then play the battle on custom, or multiplayer

My sentiment exactly. Railroading is the perfect opposite of roleplaying, and it's no fun, nor is it even historically faithful either for that matter. We're not given the exact same situations that the Romans were in history, so doing what they did simply because that's what they did doesn't make much sense. It's better to play it in a way you think your avatar would act in the situation the game does throw you in. That's what roleplaying is all about, after all.

Ok, but keep an eye out for Syracuse/Mamertine activity and/or Carthaginian navy presence around Messana

Yeah, if Carthage takes Syrakousai and has a navy by Massana I say we can call an emergency session and put a vote on whether we should take the Mamertines under our protection or not. It shouldn't be forced on us though - and we shouldn't automatically decide to go to war because of it. That would be bad RP.
Lets say it could come at any time-always look out for it...as well as other things around the world, such as Greece-say if Thermon was attacked, or Dalminion, we can also have a choice there.
