After centuries of war and being the most sought-after mercenaries in Europe, we have learned and kept our country more or less save, especially during the world wars, that's true ;-)

What you see on the pic is the old town of Berne. World Cultural Heritage. Would have been a shame if it was destroyed by bombs (like Basel, Zurich Oerlikon, Schaffhausen etc. , which were bombed by Americans *cough cough*)
