Demoshield/setuplauncher/installshield crashing
Ok, so here's the thing: whenever I try to launch anything from my dvd-player either demoshield, setuplauncher or installshield crashes, giving me a variety of error messages of wich I don't understand a single word. Untill about a month ago everything was working just fine and now it won't let me install anything from cd-rom or dvd. I can still install things I downloaded just fine. So can anyone please give me any help fixing this?

Sounds like a common file on your computer that is used by all those installers have gone corrupt.
I don't know of a solution, however a google search e.g. "installers failure" etc. would bring up helpful linkies, I guess.

Enter that in the terminal. Also check that the dcom rpc and windows installer services are running. If that doesn't work then we can try fixing windows installer.Code:sfc /scannow

See if you see the error on this site. Try reinstalling Installshield from there. It's worked for me before. Some of the latest games that ship with extra crappy versions of Securom are what caused the problems for me.
