Thread: unit rank question

    Default unit rank question

Is there a thread where i can find anything about unit rank and the meaning of this in terms of their attributes? As a unit goes thru battles, it is given ranks but what do these ranks really translate into? Their attributes get boosted up or perhaps their moral, anyone knows?
    thx

Each rank gives a unit +1 attack, +1 defense and +2 moral.

I didn't know about that last bit. That explains why I had Levy Hoplites with maximum experience fighting to one man without even considering routing.

rank and experience are used interchangeably by people although it really should just be called experience.

It's an easy mistake to make. When I first started out, I thought the chevrons meant rank, since they resembled those used by the US Army. But yes, they are experience.
