Default The Holidays in your part of the world

Every culture has their own way of celebrating holidays. Even in the U.S., some of us have different ways of doing things. For instance, most people here have the Tooth Fairy, whereas my parents had a Tooth Rat. (Me, I just have bad dental genes and a fear of dentists.)

Anyway, I found this little animated version of a Cajun take on Christmas.

    Cajun Night Before Christmas.

Usually we have some sort of wild game (this year wild geese) and rice dishes, with home made cranberry chutney, sweet potato dishes (and or pie), sometimes pecan pie (not pronounced PEE-Can, It's p-kawn round here, thank you) and all sorts of other fixings.

When I was kid we used to go and cut down our own Christmas tree at a local farm, which also grew satsumas and persimmons. But the old man who owned it was forced into retirement by his on, who turned the land into a soccer field. Oh well.

Anyway, how are the Holidays run in your neck of the world?
