Another attempt to revive EB online play...
I made an Xfire EB Clan. So everyone can find EB players to play with.
If you want to join and play online make sure you leave your xfire name + Hamachi name here.

It lets you play LAN battles and lets you connect to other people better when playing things online, but it is annoying when you forget to turn it on before starting up your game. I hope that explains it, i'm not a techno wiz.

I sugest that everyone try keep their version of eb as basic as possible also...as in 1.2 with rtw.exe, as trying to port to alexander has given me a headache...

Ack, I've still got 1.1
Edit: My Xfire name is Abreach, and my Himachi name is Phalanxia (I made that up in Year 8 thanks to RTW, and it's just easier if I keep the same name.)

I would like to play this online too. I have already managed with a friend some battles. My nick in Hamachi is the same than in this forum. And my name in Xfire is Marius.
I think it would be really helpful to get online players to make a guide. It was a little hard to me and a friend to make it run since the guide for the 1.1 is outdated for new 1.2..., and I didnt find any new guide..
I have learned that only you need to open the game with the multiplayer command and it is no neccesary to back up files and so. I think still you must always disconnect your internet before open game. So may be somebody can tell me if i did it OK the secuence, and this can be helpful for other players:
1. Open hamachi (connect to EB00 or EB01, or both, pasword EB).
2. Disconnect your internet. Keep Hamachi running.
3. Open EB with multiplayer .exe. Go to Lan.
4. Recconect your internet. Return to game where you will see the people of hamachi online there.

save games between 1.1 and 1.2 are somewhat compatible. The game is still playable, but you will notice some minor issues.Originally Posted by Subotan
