Great Romans, for centuries the Campus Martius has been used to assemble Rome's armies and militia. Let us honour that tradition.
Here is where young unappointed Tribunes and Legatus' post their desire to join a certain legion. All avaliable Legions will post their name, strength and officer count. Each standard legion will take 1 Legatus or Dux as commander and a maximum of 2 Tribunes as junior officers. Legates without a legion may also your for a certain time with any legion; however they are not included in the Legion's lists of officers. Candidates will be selected for their personal accomplishments or potential. However, Rome is fickle, and it is not unknown for bribary and favours to open up the doors to the legions. If they play their cards right, unappointed Tribunes may find themselves replacing old Tribunes if their guile overrides the commander's honour. Rome is a dangerous place of politics and greed, and what better place to represent this than the Legions; the gateway to promotion and higher standing in the greatest city on earth.
The Campus Martius will also have posted the current position of each legion as updated as possible. This will help newly appointed staff to quickly find their destined legions.
(OOC: Basically, this is where players with the ranks of Tribune or Legate, that do not currently have a legion to serve under, post to join. Only post to request to join; leave all other comments out please. Candidates may be expected in their post their choson legion, why they think they should be able to join, and how long they wish to serve.) If all legions are full, Tribunes or Legatus' still unassigned may work against those in the legions, maybe attempting to take their place through guile and backstreet diplomacy. However, if found out, severe punishment is expected. Would you dare?
