Alright, your school has some gay students? So what. So did mine, we had at least 6 gay guys in my grade alone and then perhaps 5 or so bisexual guys as well. How is that a problem?

Drag queens? Haha, I seriously can't imagine gay guys who are still at school dressing as drag queens to school. Why are you getting so angry? Maybe you are trying to hide something your subconscious is trying to let out?

And you should be flattered if you are getting hit-on by a gay guy, just tell him your not interested, and take it as a compliment.

I wouldn't be suprised if there was a gay gene, and it's irrelevant either way. There are gay people, they have every right to be treated like any other human being because that's just what they are. There is nothing wrong with them, and being from Vermont I bet I've been exposed to at least as many openly gay people as you have. I have never experienced them being any different from normal people in the way they treated me. I took German with a very openly gay guy, he's a really nice guy and we had a lot of enlightening discussions about all sorts of topics. The problem may lie with the specific gay people you know, because let's face it gay people like everyone else can be jerks, but more likely the problem lies with you. Perhaps it's the way you approach these people that makes you have such negative encounters. Or maybe you're just letting your prejudices take over and assuming the worst of these people even if whatever they're doing wouldn't offend you if anyone else was doing it.

My suggestion: Get over it. Even if these people are incredibly rude or jerks you still obviously have issues with them for other reasons and these will only hold you back in life. Try to accept these people as people like everyone else and give them the benefit of the doubt like you do everyone else. If they're jerks they're jerks and you can avoid those specific people, but don't write off a tenth (or more?) of the population just because they're gay. That would be ignorant and incredibly unjust.

As long as theres no swearing... (alright there is a few..) the thread shouldn't be locked down.

As for Gay Gene, apparently it has something to do with amount of hormones and the best ways to deal with it is sex change, decrease/ increase the hormones which effects the feminine/manly behavior or not doing anything.

For me personally, gay peoples are one of my heroes side to side with true Yakuzas (extremely polite to civilians), Samurais (Stoic life style. I love it). Gay peoples are one of the nicest bunch of guys, and most friendly. If you hate it I suggest you just avoid them and keep appropriate distance as there is nothing you can do.

In my country, there are many gay celebrities who are quite popular on TV and cross players are well respected.
