'Then' is correct.

'Than' is used in the sense of "My fart was louder than Sigurd's" - it is a comparative.

And they don't actually sound the same, the 'e' and 'a' have different phonetic sounds and very different semantically. Though if you think that is hard, you have only just begun, wait till you get to 'affect' and 'effect'....

I just noticed the Dead people posting section and I can tell you from experience - if anything causes the game to die it will be not letting dead people post constructively.
