    Some of these seem to work, some of them don't, some give intriguing hints as to things to come.

    How to edit medieval2.preference.cfg

    Make a backup.

    Launch notepad.

    Open the file.

    Edit.

    Save.

    Some things that do work:

    Turning off green arrows
    set
    disable_arrow_markers = 0
    to
    disable_arrow_markers = 1

    Change unit size
    Thanks to Archer who posted this here.

    set
    unit_size = 40
    to
    unit_size = 10
    or
    unit_size = 20

    Note on uints size they work on only Pavia and agincrout and you can only go smaller not bigger using this method

    Yes, they only change on the historical battles, not the Hastings tutorial (there's a descr_battle.txt line in RTW to allow unit resizing or not, presumably it's allowed in Pavia and Agincourt).

    And yes, the 80 setting doesn't make the unit sizes any bigger. I might just take that out...

    Default Medieval 2 Totalwar

    The campaign allows the player to assume control of a faction of the time period, and build a civilization, both economically and militarily in order to conquer other factions. Gameplay consists of controlling the faction's military, economic, and social systems in large campaign maps. During the player's turn, armies, fleets, and agents can be moved on the map. When an army engages another army, the player can choose to fight the battle personally in the battle mode, or automatically calculate the outcome.The goal of the campaign depends on which type of campaign is played. The short campaign requires the player to defeat one or two enemy factions (for example, England must defeat its historical enemies Scotland and France) and control at least 15-20 settlements. The long campaign requires the player to control at least 45 territories and one or two significant cities, which are faction specific, such as Jerusalem, Granada, Rome or Constantinople.
