Battlefield 1943

Our neighbours have made a new version of 1942, one of the best games I have ever played.
It is called Battlefield 1943 (Can't let go of fantastic brand names).

I am looking at trees falling and buildings being destroyed.
Oh... my, there will be a PS3 version too.

I read it will be downloadable only.
It could be nice until the also announced sequel for Bad Company comes next year.
Oh and by the way, Bad Company already has falling trees and partly destructable houses.

I'm still giving Forgotten Hope a go. It will some time before decent, extensive mods are released for BF1943.

If they keep BF1942 soundtrack, improve it with more graphics and more maps, I'm done.

Actually my german gaming news site says it will be more of a light version, there will be only three maps, less controllable vehicles(the aircraft carrier on wake island won't be controllable) and only three classes, the price will apparently be 15-20EUR and it will be downloadable only.

Overall it doesn't sound too good to me anymore, I must say.

Guess they just want to milk the cash cow since the 3 maps are still imensley popular.

Yeah I was under the impression it would be a small project like that, $20 type game. I think it's going to be also on Xbox Live and the PS3 thing which means the game can't be something huge as maybe some people were thinking.
