    Default Favorite Liquor

Mine would have to be Goldschläger. I tried this stuff over break with my friends and I honestly can say it was the most delicious liquor I have ever tasted in my life. I don't usually like the taste of straight hard liquor, but i was pounding shots of this stuff (its around 44%) with no chaser or problem.

My sister bought this once. I tried some, nearly lost my supper. Vile, vile stuff. Unfit for human consumption. Vodka on the other hand is very nice. Mixed properly ofcourse.

One kick bourbon, but suprisingly smooth, especially considering its high proof and the fact that it is brewed and aged at what I am led to believe is an unusually low proof (108) for commercial bourbon, thereby rendering a much stronger-tasting bourbon. It's really better if you add a little water first, though, because what you get is still VERY strong, both in flavor and proof, and it will kick your all over the place if you're not careful with it. A wonderful-tasting bourbon, regardless.

Try one of the Islays (starting with regular ones then perhaps cask strength) - most people I know were surprised how different they are from the regular blended Scotch brands or the "popular" single malts (e.g. Glenfiddich) and started to love the very strong and peaty taste.

Even Mrs Clegane likes the taste of it and takes a sip from time to time (she would not have more than a sip as she actually does not drink liquor at all)

A while ago, I discovered this gem called Mandarine Napoléon.

It's a very sweet liqueur and both my wife and I absolutely love it

Peppermint Schnapps. Tastes almost as good coming up as it does going down! Leaves your breath minty fresh!

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Vodka is pretty much the only hard liquor I'll drink these days. Never could get used to Scotch/Bourbon/Whiskey, too many bad experiences with Rum in college. Tequila is OK, in small doses, Gin is hideous. The schnapps and various other types of liquors like Baileys, Goldschlager, Jager, et al. are drinkable, but can't be considered utilitarian enough for regular consumption.

jack daniels, where saving penny's came out good. Instead of having a whole new barrel made to age the whiskey/bourbon, they burn the insides of the barrels to sanatize them, this in turn gives it its unique flavor and appearance

I have a rule about brown liquors. They are best used for a disinfectant. As that is what they taste like.

Moonshine in the more tradition reference of the word was made of Methanol (as opposed to Ethanol) and is toxic; possibly making you blind and/or killing you. Now thats when you know you are a true heavyweight.

Actually, it's vodka that tastes like disinfectant... specifically, rubbing alcohol.

Yes, I am very self-righteous about my liquor. But it's okay. All you scotch and vodka-drinking savages and heathens can have all the awful liquor you want... just don't touch my bourbon.

Whiskey of any sort as long as it is high quality stuff.

Well actually to be honest I haven't had any lower quality whiskey in anything but a mixed drink so I can't pass judgement on those.

Well i was mostly refering to its homemade nature

Its doubly distilled so its probably ethanol ....maybe...in theory...

My all-time favorite drink is Scotch, specifically Macallan 12 year old. That stuff is heaven in a bottle. Although it has gotten freakishly expensive lately ...
