Sex-Changing Daughters to sons

Well the game stores names as numbers, which index into a list of names for the type of character and the faction. I just left the numbers as they were and the name changed appropriately when the gender changed, but to choose the name you would have to cross reference the numbers and the list (I assume it is one of the descr_ files. descr_names?) and put the right one in.

I thought I'd have a look into this, and here is what I came up with.

Although I've only tested in on characters which have yet to come of age, everything seemed fine in the test, no CTD in sight!

By Ahura Mazda! If we could manipulate this, we could have distant cousins marrying each other, just like they did in Antiquity; even brothers and sister (Incest thread springs to mind).
I propose that more research be put into this, in the name of science history.

That's awesome Chris, you need to make it into a mini-mod.

I definitely will do, once I can automate it. At the minute it requires some manual adjusting by me to get it to the right place and find it. I'm getting closer though, just takes time.

Sort of related to cousing marrying, I will soon test if characters from different factions can marry, and what effect that would have on the game. Also, since the marriage seems to be a one way link, from the man to the wife/character it might be possible to have someone as a wife of more than one man. I'll try that soon too.
