Thread: Changing unit skins

    Default Changing unit skins

So, modders, I am completely baffled. I started playing XGM the other day, but the roman outfits look disgusting. So, how could I go about swapping them out with, say, the original outfits? That would be pretty sick. Oh, and if I just swap in the old models from original RTW, would the stats be affected in any way? 'Cuz I also like how the urban cohorts(historically policemen) were basically the main infantry for anything in vanilla RTW. XGM fixes it nicely so you are actually gonna be using legionary cohorts and stuff.

    Start with this one.

Norman Invasion - The fate of England lies in your hands...

Viking Invasion II - Unite Britain in the best TW campaign ever!

Gods and Fighting Men: Total War - Enter the Mists of Myth in Ancient Ireland

alright, looks like i have a long read ahead of me....I have like 5 hours of homework, maybe I'll do it during the weekend. Thanks for the link though

So, umm....I don't have anything to edit the textures and stuff, I can pretty much only edit things like .txt files, not .cas and .tga and stuff. Will I still be able to just copy+paste stuff from the original roman legionaires? (By the way, I am very bad at modding, in case you haven't noticed, I'm completely clueless)
