    Default client rulers

I would like to ask how to get client rulers. Sometimes, they pop oyt of nowhere and other times I can't get them even if I have type 4.

In EB 1.1 they were spawned by the script = you build a Type IV gov and you get one automatically.

In EB 1.2 you can recruit them from the Type IV gov itself = you build Type IV and when it is build you can train a general. Leave that general a turn in that city and voila, there's your client ruler.

Since you seem to have both I must remind you that when you have 1.2 installed you cannot play 1.1 savegames. Things will be strange and can go very wrong when you do.

Also I think there is still an issue with Saba not being able to recruit client rulers in their territories, there is a thread in the tech support forum regarding this. Otherwise you should just be able to build the mercenary general and you have a turn to decide if you want him to be a ruler or a merc general. Leave him in the settlement if you want him to be a client ruler, otherwise move him outside the city and the next turn he'll be a general instead.

Thanks for the tips. I've now got my client kings.
