I am having occasional CTDs, usually after battles, but those are luckily rare enough and never ever persistent to stop my campaign.

Eh, it's probably associated with the RTW memory leakage. Also, I have noticed from bygone observations that it is best to wait at least 10 seconds before closing the battle screen.

alex exe fans claims to have less CTD I can assure that no I have CTD in every 2- 2.30 hours so I save my game in alex in every 2 hours then quit the game and restart.

and sometimes if you make battles without stopping namely if you have fight two or more battles cos enemy attacks you it is like to ctd, but you have no chance to save against simultanous attacks
esp. if you have heroic ones in both...
I still use old pal : waiting 30 secs or more after heroics or simutanaous battles..
