Default AP World History: Need info about Chinese Dynasties

I'm studying for the Advanced Placement: World History exam on my own time because my school doesn't offer the class. If I pass the exam in May then I will receive college credit in the subject.

I was wondering if anyone knows about good online resources for the various Chinese dynasties. This is the part of the world that I know the least about. I'm mostly looking for an overview of the rise, fall, arts, important people, and culture of each dynasty.

Good sites about the rise of Islam/crusades would also be appreciated.

Why did the chicken cross the road?

So that its subjects will view it with admiration, as a chicken which has the daring and courage to boldly cross the road,
but also with fear, for whom among them has the strength to contend with such a paragon of avian virtue? In such a manner is the princely
    chicken's dominion maintained. ~Machiavelli

When I was in High School (many, many, years ago), it was a program that allowed a student to take advanced courses, then test for early college credit. Allowed exceptional students to advance more rapidly than their less-motivated peers.
