This brings up a good point, I wonder which faction is going to be the 'standard' one. like England in M2TW and Julii on RTW. Anyway, I would very much like to see the 13 Colonies or India, they're entirely new and it would be a great opportunity to introduce new units and building structures, as well as resources.

Probably. Past standard factions are featured on the front cover of the game e.g. Julii for Rome, English king for Medieval II. Empire: TW seems to have a multi front cover thingy going on depending on which country the game is sold in.

You left out France and a few other covers….but what I want to know is if they are paying Ioan Gruffudd for his picture being on the cover?Probably. I voted Prussia. This is their first appearance in a TW game and their infantry achieved legendary status in this era. What better way to preview Linear battle? Deutchland Uber Alles!

I like Prussia for their white and black colour scheme. It's just so ... efficient looking. Very German
